What a year 2017 has been! As well as being blessed with my first child - my son Reuben, I have been fortunate enough to be documenting wonderfully colourful weddings across the UK and beyond. Bela and Lorenzo's celebrations were no exception and I was absolutely delighted to have been their Indian wedding photographer for their events.

Their Hindu wedding and reception took place at The Conservatory at Painshill Park under the summer skies. Again, it was great to see so many familiar faces, friends and past couples. This event was particularly unique as I was able to document the union of a Greek and Indian cultural fusion, which I really enjoyed.

The groom's entrance was especially memorable as the Jaan was led by Lorenzo's very musically gifted brothers. Seriously, these guys know their way around a guitar (with vocals to match). The entrance concluded with Bhangra music led by Bela's side. It felt like the reception party was kicking off and the day had only just begun!

The Hindu wedding ceremony was a new experience for Lorenzo and his family, but it was certainly an occasion that was enjoyed by all who attended. The Greek party influence was evident during the reception where energetic traditional dancing from various members of the family really stole the show (as you'll see in the pictures below). But it was the union of these two families that I really enjoyed documenting and that is what I strive to do, in the most honest and creative way possible.

Bela and Lorenzo are the kind of people that are completely relatable and genuine. It was an absolute pleasure being a part of their celebrations and I wish them both the very best and a long and happy marriage together.

Below are some of the highlights from the day. I hope you enjoy them - J.

I don't think these two could have selected a better couple of days for their Indian wedding celebrations. They were both blessed with beautiful weather and it was a delight to be able to provide their Indian wedding photography services. Their events began at the ever popular Oshwal Centre where they held their beautiful Hindu Gujarati wedding ceremony. Bhav turned up in a beautiful maroon vintage Ford Mustang as he led the way towards the venue to be greeted by Reema's family. The day was full of fun and laughter with the ceremony itself was conducted by none other than Rajubhai who again put on a flawless performance.

The celebrations were then rounded off at the beautiful Conservatory at Painshill where the couple's civil ceremony and reception took place. The couple were again gifted with gorgeous weather and scenery too. All in all it was a wonderful occasion and a pleasure to be able to document their wedding celebrations.

Below are some highlights from the day.

Gorgeous weather and beautiful scenery in a tropical location. When Nishma and Dhruv were deciding where to exchange their religious vows they certainly picked a corker with Kerala, India.

As an Indian wedding photographer, it was a pleasure to document Nishma and Dhruv's Hindu wedding celebrations. Kerala is a beautiful place and certainly one that I'd like to travel to again someday. The smooth running of the day was a testament to the amount of time, effort and co-ordination both these two put into the planning stages of their wedding.

As far as Indian weddings go, this was very much an intimate affair, which I must say was a pleasant change to the norm. Even so, this did not detract from the colour and culture that is ever present at Indian weddings. This was of course heightened by the fact that this event occurred in India - the Motherland of Indian wedding traditions. It was lovely to spend the few days here covering their multiple events and getting to know their friends and family as the events progressed.

This wedding was memorable for many wonderful reasons and looking back through the images reinforces this feeling even more. With that said, below are some of my favourites taken from their Hindu wedding. I hope you enjoy the images.
